Genesee County sheriff's deputies are investigating a fatal one car crash.

It happened on the Tonawanda Indian reservation in the town of Alabama just after 4 p.m. Saturday.

Sheriff's deputies say a pickup truck driven by Alan Jones, 53, of Basom, New York, was going southbound on Judge Road when Jones lost control and hit an embankment.

The truck went airborne rolling and landing on its roof. Jones was thrown from the truck and pronounced dead at the scene.

It is still not known what caused Jones to lose control.
