The world's longest pedestrian bridge and New York's newest State Park will open to the public this weekend.
"Vertical Park" is designed by a Rochester engineering firm. Bergman Associates worked for two years designing, planning and helping to transform the 120 year-old, 1 1/4 mile-long rail bridge into a walking and biking trail 212 feet above the Hudson River, connecting Poughkeepsie to Highland.
The grand opening is Saturday.
