The Rochester High Falls International Film Festival has a new name.
It's now called 360/365 Film Festival. Organizers chose the new name 360-365 to represent their new goal to make the festival appeal to everyone every day of the year. Its new design is aimed at seeing film not only as what is seen on the movie screen but also via everything from internet to cell phones.
"The world is not different and our audience is telling us we need to be where the audience is. That's what this transformation is about being where the audience is," said Executive Director John Richardson.
Among the changes: a shorts contest four times a year, films shown by women and men and a director's series featuring the newest directors in the business talking about their craft.
The festival runs May 5-10, 2010.
