Volunteers of America said the first week of its "Your Caring Gifts" campaign is off to a good start.

It raised $8,000 in the first week, but the organization has a long way to go to reach its $85,000 goal.

"Your Caring Gifts" helps the VOA provide shelter for the homeless, emergency food assistance and other vital services to families and individuals. YNN is proud to be a sponsor of this campaign.
