Bad visibility from the blustery conditions in our area Wednesday night is being blamed for a plane veering off the tarmac at the Rochester airport.

The plane is a small courier from FedEx.

Airport officials believe the pilot misjudged a turn after landing and went off the pavement.

While the main runway was closed for about a half an hour, the secondary runway was open and there was no disruption to service.

The pilot was not injured and there was no damage to the plane.

The courier was back up and running around 10:30 p.m.
