The Volunteers of America has collected $57,335 toward its $85,000 goal.

The VOA helps families and individuals in need, through efforts like its homelessness intervention program, food pantry, child care, Working Wardrobe, and Men's Housing.

Although the official 'Your Caring Gifts' campaign ended Thursday night, a VOA spokesperson said they'll continue to take donations for the program beyond years' end.
