Dentists Dress Up for New Movie

Hollywood premieres are usually the turf of movie stars and famous directors, but some local dentists are getting in on the act.

Dentists Dress Up for New Movie
Eastman Dental set up a booth at Regal Henrietta to have some fun with kids who were there to see the new family film "Tooth Fairy." Local pediatric dentists dressed up in costumes, all in an effort to educate kids, and also parents, about how important it is to take care of young teeth.

"As soon as a child has their first tooth, they have to start brushing," said pediatric dentistry resident Jaime Greenspoon. "A lot of parents are concerned with too much fluoride. They shouldn't be. Supervise their brushing and if you think they'll swallow it, use a tiny, tiny pea-sized amount on their toothbrush and come visit us because we can educate you. Tell you do the dos and don'ts so that when they come to the dentist, it can be a positive visit instead of a negative one."

"Tooth Fairy" is in theaters now. It stars Dwayne Johnson as a hockey player who becomes the Tooth Fairy, and has to collect lost teeth from children.
