Senator Pushes for Incentives to Help Biodiesel Company
Senator Chuck Schumer said Wayne County's Northern Biodiesel could go under if a federal tax incentive is not renewed.
Schumer plans to visit Northern Biodiesel in Ontario at Noon Thursday to push for Congress to renew the tax incentives that expired January 1.
Schumer said with the proper tax package, Biodiesel could become a huge industry in New York, employing thousands of people.
Northern Biodiesel is currently the only fully functioning manufacturer of fuel in the state.
