Time Warner Cable Sponsors 'Imagine RIT' Festival
YNN and our parent company Time Warner Cable are working to "Connect a Million Minds," a nationwide effort to get kids interested in science, technology, engineering, and math. One way to do that is to show kids just how fun those subjects can be.
Time Warner Cable is proud to be the premiere sponsor of the 3rd Annual “Imagine RIT” festival.
The partnership was announced Wednesday. More than 2,000 college students, faculty, and staff will man exhibits for kids in kindergarten through high school.
From “go-bots,” to a concrete canoe, to an automated hot dog machine, organizers say it's a way to engage kids in important subjects, a key goal of "Connect a Million Minds."
"It's actually a perfect relationship. We really want to elevate our school children and make sure they have the opportunity to pursue careers in science, engineering, technology and math," said Barry Culhane, chair of the festival.
The “Imagine RIT" festival runs May 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
