A mural titled the “Wall of Dreams” was dedicated in a ceremony at Nativity Preparatory Academy Friday morning.

The theme of the artwork, "Turning Dreams into Reality," reflects the school's mission to help students realize a future of success.

The mural depicts career choices ranging from law enforcement to medical professionals.

School leaders said the work is another reminder that anything is possible, even for economically disadvantaged students.

"Their first dream is to graduate from Nativity Prep. Their next dream is to graduate from one of the high schools; private or public or parochial. And their next dream is to go on and get a college education,” said Dianne Crowley, the Nativity Prep Principal. “And from that dream of graduation they can take the rays that are coming from Nativity to any place they want in their lives."

Nativity Preparatory Academy is a Roman Catholic middle school at the site of the former St. Boniface School in the South Wedge.
