You can watch Mike O’Brian, "The Getaway Guy" on YNN's Live Morning Drive Traffic Reports each weekday morning from 6 to 9 a.m., four times an hour at :08, :18, :38 and :48.

Mike joined YNN Buffalo in March 2009 after working for nearly 14 years at YNN Rochester.

After covering the morning commute, Mike hits the road to bring viewers to a new getaway destination every Thursday at 6:24am, 9:24am, 12:24pm, 3:24pm, 6:24pm, and 9:24pm.

Born in Corning, Steuben County, Mike's education after high school continued at The State University at Farmingdale on Long Island, then broadcast training in Rochester. Mike carries on the tradition as president and director of his own local broadcasting school for voice-over training.

Traveling is Mike's passion with the New England coast, Caribbean and American southwest at the top of his list. "I get great satisfaction when people tell me how much the really enjoyed traveling to one of my recent getaways."
