Scott Patterson

You can wake up to Scott Patterson anchoring Your Morning News on YNN each weekday.

Scott joined YNN in March, 2009. Since coming to Rochester, Scott anchored the news channel’s continuous coverage of damaging tornadoes and the death of Osama Bin Laden.

Scott is a native of Schoharie, New York, a small town about 40 miles west of Albany. He started his career as a radio news anchor/reporter while still in high school, anchoring his first newscast at the age of 17 on a radio station in Albany. He later reported for the Albany Times Union during summers off from Syracuse University.

Scott's first television reporting job was in Watertown while still in college. From there he moved to Albany, reporting for WTEN, WXXA and Capital News 9 (now YNN Albany). Then it was on to the Midwest as the weekend anchor for KPTM, the FOX affiliate in Omaha, Nebraska.

Scott's wife Carrie is a manager for a Henrietta based training and consulting company. The Pattersons are avid sports fans, rooting on the Buffalo Sabres, Buffalo Bills, Syracuse Orange, Scott's New York Yankees and Carrie's Toronto Blue Jays.
