A plane had some trouble landing at the Rochester International Airport Sunday evening.
Just after 8:00 p.m. the crew aboard a Delta jet called for an emergency landing. The FAA says the plane had just left Rochester for Detroit when it had a flap problem. The flaps were stuck in the full upright position. Flaps help slow the plane down as it lands.
The plane came back to Rochester and touched down safely just before 9:00 p.m. All 53 people on board are okay.
It was a very similar scene a few hours earlier in Buffalo. A Southwest plane had an issue with a front flap on one of the wings. The plane landed safely at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport around 6 p.m.
