Police say two men approached the victim after he left a corner store on Clifford Avenue around 11 p.m. The men demanded money from the victim, grabbed his gold chain, and then shot him in the upper body.

The victim was able to get help from a friend nearby who called police.

The 22-year-old man was taken to the hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

No arrests have been made.
