The Red Cross says it's assisting two adults and two children after a fire at their home on Lexington Avenue early Sunday morning.
Rochester Fire officials say they responded around 4:15 to 167 Lexington Avenue. Fire fighters say the two alarm fire moved up to the roof of the home.
None of the five occupants were home at the time.
One firefighter is being treated for minor injuries after falling through a staircase. Fire officials say they were familiar with the home.
Lt. Edward Kuppinger of the Rochester Fire Department said, "Earlier in the evening about 45 minutes earlier Rochester Police Department was called to this for a police issue. At this time there are some people in police custody. Don't know if it's related to the fire, but they are being questioned by police."
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Kuppinger says there's significant smoke and water damage to the home.
