Bomb Threat Forces Marcus Whitman School into Lockdown
Students at the Marcus Whitman middle and high schools were sent home on the first bus run Monday after officials found a note in a boy's bathroom saying there was a bomb in the school.
Authorities said the threat was not credible; however, the threat forced the middle school into lockdown as a precaution. Afternoon activities at both schools were cancelled.
Authorities stress that this type of threat is a crime and anyone found responsible for making such a threat will be charged.
The Ontario County Sheriff's Department is investigating.
