Everyone has their strengths, whether it's eating or running. One fraternity fundraiser looked to benefit both.
The Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity at the University of Rochester held it's annual Nick Tahou's Run. Teams of two or three ran two miles from campus to Nick Tahou's on West Main Street. Once there, they hand off to another person who must eat a garbage plate before the first person turns around and runs back to complete the relay.
Some brave souls went it alone. The fraternity calls them "iron men".
"Now, those are the real, hard hit," said Alex Tahou, the owner of Nick Tahou's. "They come all the way from the U of R, eat the plate themselves, and then return. We don't know how far back they get, but we hope they get all the way back."
The run benefits the fraternity's national charity: YouthAIDS.
