Greece to Vote on Adding New Town Justice Position
Voters in Greece will have the option to vote for the creation of a fourth Town Justice. The measure will appear as a line item on the November ballot.
Greece Town Supervisor John Auberger says the court system has seen a steady increase in cases since the last town justice was added in 1982.
Auberger says in 2011, the court handled more than 18,000 cases as compared to more than 10,800 in 1990.
If the position is approved, there would be an election for a new judge in November 2013.
