The Monroe County Sheriff's Office has announced the winners of its 2012 Sheriff's STAR Student Awards.
Four middle and high school students from Monroe County were recognized for distinguishing themselves through exemplary behavior and demonstrating the core values of the Sheriff's Office.
This year's honorees are Greece Arcadia Senior Jasmine Williams, McQuaid Jesuit senior Alex Bourdelais, Odyssey Academy Senior Jason Karol, and Brighton Twelve Corners eight grader Noah Bentivegna.
Each student received a $500 check and an certificate signed by the Sheriff.
