Lead singers and guitarists may get a lot of the spotlight, but you wouldn't have much of a beat without drummers. That message came through at the 13th Annual Drum Expo and show at the House of Guitars Saturday.

In addition to clinics and new equipment, Saturday's event also featured drummer camaraderie. John Favicchia is a professional studio drummer who comes up from New York City.

"Drummers are very unique," said Favicchia. "We're a good clique of guys, and especially up here, I come up here because the guys, they want to learn. They're into the drumming. There's no attitude, everybody wants to have a fun day and learn about drums and be inspired."

Other professional drummers also took the stage throughout the day and evening.
