Town of Webster Denies Lower Assessment for Xerox
The Town of Webster has denied a request by Xerox to lower the assessment on it's three largest parcels of land.
Xerox requested the current assessment of $80.8 million be lowered almost 75 percent to $22 million.
Town Supervisor Ron Nesbitt originally expressed concern saying this would shift the tax burden to residents and other business owners.
The disagreement is now likely to end in a court battle.
