State Accepts Applications for Broadband Internet Access
New York State is accepting applications to help fund the expansion of broadband access.
The Connect New York program provides grants to promote and expand broadband internet access across the state to areas that are not served or underserved by broadband providers.
25 million dollars is on the table and applications will be evaluated by the Empire State Development Corp and regional councils.
The state says more than 700 thousand New York residents cannot access the internet through broadband connections.
