- Must be at least 18 years old. Proof of age will be required.
- Must have a 10th grade education with one year of basic math (passing grade).
- Transcript or GED will be required.
- Must be physically able to perform the work required, as determined by applicant’s statement on application. Essential job functions/tasks are listed on the application. Work in the roofing and waterproofing industry can be strenuous. It may include:
- Climbing ladders, scaffolds and roofs, working at great heights and lifting materials in excess of 70 pounds.
- Working in open air in all types of weather.
- Drug testing on some job sites.
- Must take a drug screen upon hire, at union’s expense.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work site and school.
- Must be a US citizen or legally able to work in the USA.
- Must live in the geographic jurisdiction of Roofers Local Union #22 for one year or more.
