American Airlines - U.S. Airways Merger Reportedly Approved
Two major airlines are expected to merge and create the world's biggest airline.
The Associated Press is reporting the boards of American Airlines and U.S. Airways have approved plans to merge the two companies.
A formal announcement is expected to be made Thursday morning.
The deal has been in the works since August.
If the merger is approved, the new airline will have more than 900 planes, 3,200 daily flights and about 95,000 employees.
