Fairport-based LiDestri Food and Beverage announced John Vetere as its new president on Monday.

Vetere assumes all responsibilities of the role effective immediately. He will oversee the company's three core divisions: Foods, Beverages and Spirits.

Vetere became CFO in 2009 and oversaw the acquisition of Zeigler Beverages.

Giovanni LiDestri will remain CEO of the company.
