A Pittsford-based technology solutions company is in the spotlight in this week's in-depth business profile.
Kafer Inc. continues to grow by adding staff and offering new solutions to its clients.
Jason Kafer developed his computer skills at a young age and is now heading up a small company with a big vision.
"My parents bought my first computer when I was 8 years old, and I officially became a nerd," Kafer said.
Kafer's mission is to add value to businesses by providing solutions and systems to manage day-to-day functions as they compete in the ever-changing business world.
"Our goal with our customers is to take the technology worries from running their business," Kafer said. "We've built a framework and a suite of products that integrates everything that the small to medium size business needs to do. Everything from point of sale to accounting, to email and SMS marketing, credit card and ACH processing, communications, voice over IP."
The majority of Kafer's clients are in Rochester, where the company works with small start up businesses, as well as Inc. 500 companies located here and across the country.
"We've got some pretty significant partners around the country that we've teamed up with to bring the technology to the mass market," Kafer added.
Kafer Inc. says it works to stay ahead of the competition by developing new software applications to meet the needs of its customers.
"We can walk into a business using a platform that we've built, that's tested, that's robust, that allows us to customize it for their specific needs and we can do it in less time and usually with less overhead," Kafer said. "The technology that we have, the customer relationships that we have, the vendor relationships that we have, it's just been such a great fit."
Kafer has been in business since 2010, and since January, it has doubled its staff and is looking to make additional hires. The company is also preparing to move into larger office space in Victor this spring.
