March Madness is underway, and that also means it's time for the annual Boutique Crawl. The fourth annual event gives fashion lovers a chance to experience what Rochester has to offer.
Eager shoppers will start at the Memorial Art Gallery and be shuttled to participating shops around Rochester. More than 20 stores are part of this year's event, which will benefit the local Center For Youth.
"The first year, we raised $35,000, and in just three years, we met our goal last year of $100,000 that we gave to the Center for Youth," said Chantiza Stern, event organizer. "I think one thing that is important to know too with our boutique crawl, with March Madness, all of the participating boutiques give 10 percent of their sales that night back to the Center for Youth to help homelessness."
The event takes place from 5 – 10 p.m. Thursday. Many of the shops are offering specials to customers. including free food, drinks, and even discounts.
