SERVES:
1
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 heaping cup cubed frozen cantaloupe
- 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
- 1 6-ounce tub vanilla yogurt
- 1/4 cup orange juice
PROCEDURE:
Cut the cantaloupe in half through the stem end and scoop out the seeds.
Cut one half lengthwise into 6 long slices, cut those crosswise into 1-inch sections without going through the skin and then carefully use your knife to separate the flesh from the skin.
Put the cubed cantaloupe into a Ziploc bag and throw it into the freezer and also rinse and pick through the blueberries and freeze those in a Ziploc bag as well.
To make one large smoothie (after the fruits have frozen) add 1/2 cup frozen blueberries, 1 cup of frozen cantaloupe, 1 6-ounce tub of vanilla yogurt and 1/4 cup orange juice and puree everything until it is nice and smooth.
Serve it up right away in a tall glass with a straw!
HINTS:
Putting the blueberries and maybe the yogurt too, into the blender first will make it easier to blend. Freeze a bunch of fruit ahead of time so it's ready to go when you are.
