It's a big night for President Obama. He will officially accept the Democratic Party's nomination for president at the Time Warner Cable Arena. But this morning, it was Governor Andrew Cuomo who fired up the New York Delegation. Josh Robin has the latest from Charlotte.

CHARLOTTE -- New York's governor addressed the state's delegation during breakfast this morning in Charlotte.

Governor Andrew Cuomo ripped the Romney-Ryan ticket, saying their budget plan won't take the country in the right direction. Cuomo said the numbers in the Republican budget plan speak for themselves about their priorities.

He also went on to defend President Obama's fiscal plans, saying New York State is the perfect example that taxing fairly does work and that Obama only inherited a mess.

Cuomo said, "We remember in New York, they were talking about the financial markets collapsing, they were talking about the banks folding. They made it sound like the banks were going to collapse like dominoes down Wall Street, one after the other after the other. People had horror stories. It was a near financial panic. That's what Barack Obama inherited, and they created it. And, frankly, it is absurd that the people of the party that created the problem want to present themselves as the solver of the problem to the American people."

Cuomo also said that over-taxing the lower and middle classes will only make their economic situation worse.
