Many Events Planned for New Year's Eve in Downtown Rochester

The city of Rochester wants to wish you a happy New Year with a number of activities and events Thursday evening.

Manhattan Square Park opens for ice skating at 6.p.m., with live music from Beal's Rock and Roll Review. The Convention Center hosts a wide array of family fun activities including a DJ dance party, carnival games, and a magician.

Then at 9:30 p.m., the party moves outside for The Big Wish fire ceremony and a ground fireworks display.


Then at 10 p.m., the city's annual New Year's Eve fireworks display, best viewed from the main street bridge.
