Black Friday was a good test for some traffic changes at Eastview Mall in Victor.
In an effort to keep last year's traffic nightmare from repeating, the Department of Transportation changed light patterns on Route 96 to keep traffic flowing.
Additional sheriff's deputies helped direct cars out of mall parking lots and the mall’s general manager said extra plow crews were also put on standby ready to move, should the snow start falling.
The most noticeable change for shoppers however, was a new free shuttle service.
The limo bus picks people up at the south rear lot near Regal Cinemas or the lot near the soon-to-be L.L. Bean store and drops them off at the entrance to the food court.
"It's not as busy as I thought it would be but good idea anyway," Lynn Byrne of West Walworth said.
"We pulled up, we parked, we got in the shuttle and away we went right to the food court and then here we are, back at our car. It was very easy," Jolie Sasso of Victor said.
The shuttle will run every Saturday and Sunday through December 26th.
The service starts an hour before the mall opens and ends an hour after it closes.
