Among the food vendors at the Captain Redbeard's Feast was a Rochester area food truck hoping to make it in to the national spotlight.

The Gourmet Waffler offered up Belgium waffles with different toppings like pineapple and almond butter. The truck owners were nominated as possible contestants for the second season of "The Great Food Truck Race", which is a reality show on the Food Network with seven trucks competing for $50,000.

"Who can sell the most food? So, the people who sell the least food in cities that they have no idea they're going to get to go home. It's like 'Survivor.' May the fittest trucks win," said Jill Stolt, The Gourmet Waffler.

Jill says online voting is already underway and closes next Friday.
