Rochester Police Chief Jim Sheppard has announced two homicide arrests in the past week.
Fredrick Stokes, 34, is under arrest in connection with a homicide back in June.
Police say Craig Wilson, 35, was shot in the chest after someone walked up to the home and opened fire on Reynolds Street. A 39-year-old woman was also shot and was treated and released from the hospital.
Sam Mitchell, 30, is also under arrest for a separate June homicide of Steven Cobb on West Main Street.
Chief Sheppard credits the community for its help in solving these crimes.
"For the Rochester Police Department to be successful, we rely on the community to assist us, and it was important for me to communicate that these arrests were made possible by the willingness of concerned citizens to step up and be involved," said Sheppard.
