The police officer who was shot Thursday afternoon is sitting upright and talking at Rochester General Hospital.
The officer was shot in one of his limbs, but police said it was a minor injury. He is expected to fully recover.
An officer visiting with him came out of the hospital and said the wounded officer is doing okay. His family arrived shortly thereafter, as did officers from Rochester, Irondequoit, and Greece.
The officer officer, a suspect wanted by police, and a civilian were all shot near the intersection of Norton and North Goodman streets in Rochester. Police said the suspect and the civilian were both taken to Strong, but could not update their conditions.
