The former mayor of Brockport was found guilty Wednesday of violating village code.
Connie Castaneda was arrested in 2012, accused of illegally renting her attic apartment and keeping it unsafe for tenants to live in.
In May, a judge cleared her of 14 counts of misdemeanor official misconduct charges, but the code violations remained.
Her attorney says she was found guilty of five separate provisions for the same code violation: failure to comply with zoning and building code in the village.
She will be fined at sentencing. Her attorney did not know the amount.
He did tell YNN they will likely appeal.
