Looking to get to 2-0 in the pre-season, the Bills have their first home game of the year, hosting the Minnesota Vikings.
It's the first game in front of the home fans at the Ralph, and their first look at Kevin Kolb. Kolb gets the chance to start, but rookie EJ Manuel is sure to see plenty of action.
You couldn't ask for a better start under new head coach Doug Marrone. Less than a week ago, the Bills hung up 44 points at Indianapolis. While these games don't count, to the players winning is still important whenever you take the field.
"I think any time you are keeping score you want to win, so every time you go out there, our number one thing is that you want to win, even in preseason," said running back Fred Jackson. "But you do want to get started on the right foot and to get started on the right foot with a new coaching staff and a new season the best thing you can do is win some pre-season games. It's a good vibe and we feel pretty well any time we feel like we are getting all we need to get done. So one win, we have to continue to compete and come out here and get better. That's our number one goal. Week in and week out we want to improve and hope that we can do so."
Not playing tonight is wide receiver Stevie Johnson, who is still working his way back from a hamstring injury. He might be good to go next week. On defense, linebacker Kiko Alonzo will sit this one out too.
