A Monroe County Sheriff's deputy, in the right place at the right time Friday afternoon, was able to stop a man with a knife from robbing a store in Henrietta.
The suspect tried to rob the Express Mart on East Henrietta Road around 1 a.m. Friday.
Sergeant Robert Murphy, who happened to be waiting at a traffic light across from the store,
walked in, and saw what was happening. Murphy ordered the suspect to drop the weapon, which he did.
Other deputies arrived and the suspect was taken into custody. His name has not yet been released.
