A Brighton teenager was sentenced Thursday to weekends in jail, probation and perform community service following a 2012 car crash that injured three of his fellow students.
John Zakhary, 17, accepted the plea agreement in July.
As part of the deal, he will spend four weekends in jail followed by 12 work weekends, 200 hours of community service and five years of probation. His drivers license will also be suspended for five years.
The October 2012 crash injured three students, one seriously, when the speeding BMW Zakhary was driving slammed into the back-end of a slow-moving school bus on Warren Avenue.
