The Transportation and Security Administration expanded its Pre-Check screening program to 60 more airports, including Buffalo and Rochester.
The program allows pre-approved airline travelers to leave their shoes, light outerwear
and belt on as well as keeping their laptop in a case and their liquids/gels bag in their carry-on .
Passengers who are eligible for the program include U.S. citizens who are part of participating airlines' frequent flier programs and those who are part of the Customs Border Patrol Trusted traveler program.
The program launched in 2011.
