A Rochester area congresswoman says she still has a lot of questions before deciding how to vote on a possible military strike on Syria.
Representative Louise Slaughter says her office has solicited residents for their opinion by phone.
Others have also called to express their feelings on a possible strike. Slaughter says that so far she estimates a large majority of people she's heard from in her district are against an attack.
"We find ourselves as great supporters of the United Nations and NATO, neither of which are going to be of any use to us at all in this," said Representative Louise Slaughter, (D) 25th Congressional District. "This is a very serious thing and there's nothing that a member of Congress does with more consequences than voting for war. And that's exactly what this is."
Slaughter will return to Washington Sunday. Congress reconvenes Monday to debate any military action against Syria.
