Twenty-two cars on the campus of St. John Fisher College had their tires slashed over the weekend.
College officials say it happened early Saturday morning in front of the Keough Hall dormitory.
Campus security discovered the damage and began an investigation.
"We were able to determine who we believed was responsible for the crime and ultimately, we contacted the Monroe County Sheriff's Department, who responded and took the young man in to custody, and subsequently, he's been charged with criminal mischief," said David DiCaro, director of security at SJFC.
No word yet on charges or the motive that led to the act.
