The case against an Ontario County woman accused of killing her husband and then dismembering his body is headed to trial.
Rose Chase rejected a plea deal Tuesday in Ontario County Court.
Prosecutors say the Stanley woman killed her husband Adam in June 2011 by pushing him down a flight of stairs inside the couple's home.
Chase is accused of hiding Adam's body in the basement of their home before dismembering and burning his remains. She was arrested six months later and charged with second-degree murder, tampering with physical evidence and endangering the welfare of a child.
Rose Chase is expected to stand trial beginning Oct. 7.
