ERIE COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Wyoming County teenager was arrested Monday night after deputies say he tried to inject himself with cocaine while driving down I-190.
According to the Erie County Sheriff's Office, a deputy was following a car on I-190 northbound that was driving erratically Monday night when the deputy saw a 19-year=old Perry man tie off his arm to prepare for an injection.
The passenger in the car, Brandon Lisena, 20, of Perry, was trying to steer the car at the time.
The teenager faces charges including resisting arrest, criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of a hypodermic instrument and reckless driving. His name has not been released because he may be eligible for youthful offender status.
Lisena was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic needle.
