Monroe County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Massachusetts man they say broke into a home and assaulted the homeowner early Sunday night.
Adam Richardson, 39, is accused of breaking into a home on Hidden Creek Lane in Hamlin. Deputies say he attacked Jamie Cushman, 35, with a baseball bat and stabbed him multiple times before escaping out the back door as deputies arrived.
Cushman was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment. Deputies say he is expected to recover.
State police located Richardson near the Brockport post office, where he was taken into custody.
Richardson was arraigned on burglary, robbery and assault charges in Hamlin Town Court. He is being held at the Monroe County Jail on $20,000 cash bail and is due back in court Thursday.
