Power has been restored to most homes in the Town of Hopewell after a teenager crashed his vehicle into a utility pole, splitting the pole in half and leaving the surrounding area in the dark.
Ontario County Sheriff Deputies say Benjamin Bradshaw, 19, of Canandaigua was driving on County Road 10 just before 11 p.m. when he went off the road at the intersection with County Road 46.
Bradshaw hit a sign, a roadway light and a utility pole. The pole split in half causing a power outage in the immediate area.
Deputies say Bradshaw walked away with shoulder and neck pain. They're still looking into why he crashed.
