Police have identified the man shot Wednesday on Rochester's northeast side.
Police officers found David Henry, 25, lying behind a home on Saranac Street around 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say Henry suffered gunshot wounds to his torso. He was rushed to the hospital with injuries described as serious, and is currently listed in guarded condition.
Police say the victim had been in front of the house at 156 Saranac Street, taking his two-year-old son out of the backseat of his car, when another vehicle pulled up. Police say suspects in that car opened fire, striking Henry at least twice.
The toddler was not injured in the shooting.
Police have not made any arrests.
