It was a full house at the RIT Inn & Conference Center for the 11th annual Monroe County Sheriff's Awards luncheon.
Sheriff Patrick O'Flynn honored police officers and civilians for acts of heroism during the year.
They were honored for a variety of acts, ranging from a hotel worker who applied CPR, saving a client's life, to a postal carrier who smelled smoke at a residence, called 911 and then dragged a resident to safety.
The final award was presented to Sergeant Dean Tuthill. Tuthill was praised for his efforts in coordinating emergency response to the Christmas Eve ambush that killed two firefighters in West Webster.
