ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - The Bills may have won Sunday, but the game was still a foul experience for some.
Concession stands and restroom facilities in sections 120 through 142 were temporarily closed Sunday due to a water main break.
Team officials said a collapsed pipe let residue get into the drainage system and cause the backup.
It was fixed by the third quarter.
With the money fans spend there, some say dealing with raw sewage was unacceptable.
"It was closed right till half time and then it opened again," said fan Tom Young. "The odor was terrible and everything backed up, and when you have 10 events a year and you let that happen, I think for the ticket price and the experience it was very substandard."
"We got nice seats down here from friends of ours, and I mean definitely when you got to kind of have to go three flights of stairs up to go to the bathroom, that's pretty difficult, plus trying to get something to eat too," said fan Adam Carney. "It's going to have a negative effect on your fan experience that's for sure."
While the mess was being cleaned up, fans had to use bathrooms and concessions in other sections.
The Bills offered an apology to fans for the inconvenience.
