A local company is moving into the former JP Morgan Chase facility in Albion, and it's also expanding.
Claims Recovery Financial Service employs 600 people in Orleans County. The business processes post-foreclosure claims.
CRFS's founder gathered with local leaders to announce the move and expansion into the former 60,000 square foot former Chase complex. Chase announced it would be closing the facility in June.
CRFS will look to add 150 new jobs. It has already hired dozens of former Chase workers.
"Our training time can take up to six-plus months for somebody coming off the street that is not familiar with the industry or the terms, vocabulary, as well as all the systems; they're very detailed specific requirements. Not that but their background is incredible helpful," said CRFS CEO Jody Gaines.
Gaines began CRFS in her kitchen 11 years ago. The company has grown into Orleans County's largest employer.
The goal is to move into the facility by next March.
