The governor's office announced a new battery materials manufacturing facility is moving into Eastman Business Park.
NOHM Technologies is locating its pilot nanoscale battery plant at the Lake Avenue facility. NOHM stands for Nanoscale Organic Hybrid materials.
The project is expected to create about 100 full-time scientific, technical and manufacturing jobs over the next three years.
The project is receiving $1.5 million from the state's Regional Economic Development Council's initiative.
The company will convert 8,000 square feet of excess office and lab space at the park's building 320 into an advanced manufacturing facility. They will produce lithium sulfur battery materials and battery cell prototypes.
